Setting Sail

Theres a thorn in my side,
Theres a stake in my heart,
Wrapped in a package of lies,
I feel like im breaking apart.

The mirror of life is unkind to my tales,
The book of reality is all kinds of misspelled,
Milar reflections seducing the text,
Truth deviously slips through holes in the fishermans net.

A succubus sings and draws in a ship,
Unaware of the peril that lay on her lips,
A young man approaches barely of age,
Emotions take over crashing like waves.

Pulling the anchor and catching a sail,
On the apex of swells they bid their farewells,
Feverishly rushing to see what comes next,
Making foolish decisions that cannot be reset.
