Sevenfold

Tongue of silver
Heart of gold
Love of ages
Wise of old;
Bathed in kindness
Shaved of bold
Hidden lips
Things untold;
Numbers added
Freedom sold
Gained affliction
Fears unfold;
Craving night
Numb like cold
Comatose
Self consoled;
Soothing aches
Dreams behold
Nightmare's havoc
Uncontrolled;
Catering tendency
Self-enrolled
Eminent capacity
Closure–Withhold;
Residual healing
Personal scold
Repeat repetition
Sevenfold.

This Poems Story

This poem took a while as the word choice was meant to be extremely precise and tell a story within that is powerful during breakdown and over-all reading. Thank you for taking the time to allow me to share some of the willing vulnerabilities we put ourselves in for love, happiness, and sacrifice–afterall, that is what love is all about.
