Shackled

They tell us to go get college education
Then we do that
Job market isn't booming
Waste of a degree

Then you have to payback all these loans
They want to keep us in debt
We end up working in slum village
Minimum wage

They just want us in a big rage
We're just like the monkeys in the cage
No way out
No outlets

They might as well put chains on us
Since we're the new chain gang
Just without the orange jumpsuit
We're doing the same time
Just without the bars
