Shades of Brown
The entire landscape could be painted
In shades of brown,
Those who longed for silence
Would have drowned
In the sea of noise, the chaos
The crowds ignoring the market stalls
That were set up so boldly
By desperate ones struggling to swat the flies away from
Their fruits exhibited- the only splash of colour
In that dull world
There are hundreds of different worlds
To escape into
In this vast library,
The books themselves seem to radiate power,
You lose yourself
In the stories
The smell of pages,
You want to stay here forever
Before I found refuge in this library,
I lived inside a landscape that could be painted
Entirely in shades of brown
