Shadow Guards

It seemed so innocent you see
The prison deep inside of me
So much fun with unlocked doors
Adventurously I walked those floors
Every turn held something new
Until the doors lock shut on you
You made this choice so you can't plea
You will think that you can't flee
Then out step the prison guards
They keep you locked behind those bars
Now you live in constant fear
That you might not get out of here
This is the prison for your soul
The Shadow Men are on patrol
Your health is starting to decay
As without sleep your mind will stray
You must escape but not too soon
Your soul they threaten to consume
They watch like hawks both night and day
But at night they come to play
So to the Lord you have to plea
Get rid of this insanity
For when that iron door unlocks
Hurry up and kick some rocks.
