Shadows of the past
Silence stands before me.
A new dawn is within arms reach.
Shadows in the mist flutter behind as memories brush through the darkness that invade my soul. Millions of charcoaled pieces of the past violently bury themselves into the ground beneath my feet. Suddenly I can see; I can see the light that shines brighter than the sun above. Suddenly I can feel; I can feel the life I've craved for-for so long. The life held captive deep within the rubble of a heart once scorned.
