Shakespearean Rapture

I gazed upon your lonely face
With thoughtful eyes turned toward the sky
My lips longing to caress your grace
But before the morrow you’ll leave with no goodbye

My inamorato, do not depart so soon!
Why abandon the love your heart betrays?
So many nights we could spend under the moon
What pains you if I ask you to stay?

You are my darkness, you are the passion, you are all I hold dear
No one's lips, roaming hands, nor sultry glance
Could replace what I feel when you are near
Why turn away from this Shakespearean romance ?

Your screaming still resonates in my head
Delirious, preaching cynicism, that it is over for the best!
Trying to renounce a destiny yet to be read
The memory of your fear, of your regret gives me no rest

Surround me, encompass me once again with your warm breath
Let me calm the storm torturing you inside
Breathe me, osculate me, come to me in life and death
For despite this forbidden rapture, in your astral gaze is where I reside!
