Shall I Paint My Love for Thee?
Shall I paint my love for thee, in blacks and reds and blues?
In misty pinks, in stormy grays, in lovely purple hues.
Yellow dots of mischief swirling to and fro,
A giggly green who dances and prances as she goes.
A warm and tasty chocolate that makes one feel at home,
While the naughty orange encourages one's thoughts to race & roam.
"Shall I paint my love for thee?" I asked him that dark eve.
'Twas my last chance of winning him before he was to leave.
With caring eyes and loving hands, he made us face to face.
"My dear," he said, "Fret no more. Thou art my saving grace."
