Sharpen

Let me sharpen you.
Let me wear you down.
They will see your fine black tip,
But miss the point.

With the blade of their sharp words,
Let me sharpen you.

Let me slice away your imperfections,
Layer by layer,
Til your surface is gone,
And they see your worth,
Was inside all along.
