If I have to let you go, I will
But the problem is, I can't do that
Because, darling, you see
You were never mine to begin with
I can't let you go if I never had you
You can't be tied down
You go along, breaking hearts
Destroying souls
You made me feel alive
But if me letting you go will make you happy
Then I'll step back in my grave and set you free
But I can't do that
Because you were never in my possession
I was yours
You had my heart
You had all of me
But I didn't have a single part of you
All I had were your words
And even they weren't true
