She Cries

Smiling on the outside
Dying in the inside
The struggle is real
The pain is fierce

Her eyes so calm
Serene at times
Don't be fooled
She cries inside

Go away pain
It's not real
It's old and dead
It's gone away

Open the door
Hear the knocking?
Don't be afraid
Don't push happiness away

The struggle is real
The pain is fierce
Go away pain; go away
Don't be afraid
Don't push happiness away

This Poems Story

I am a mother of four wonderful children. My love for poetry comes from my love of music. Whenever I'm struggling with sad or emotional issues, I write songs and practice singing them. To me, poetry is like having my own secret therapist; my journal and my pencil are my friends. I also love reading! I am inspired by various family members who are musicians and artists as well. I look forward to someday being able to publish all of my poems for the world to read and enjoy!
