She Is I

She's a kind girl, a kind of girl with secrets
She's a wandering soul, sometimes left lost
She'll leave drops of her fears at the bottom of a teacup
As she takes another sip, she'll taste another thought

She'll wish on a star unsure if it's worth it
She doesn't really know if she believes in luck
She loves looking at the moon because she loves the idea of magic
She loves the feel of the sun because she loves the thought of love

She loves the sound of the rain hitting pavement
She loves the smell of familiar scents
You can find her writing it's where she feels safest
She can find bits of herself in her favorite books pages

They'll say she's a shy girl, but you should hear her mind
They'll tell you she's a quiet girl, but her words are a breath away
She'll convince herself there's so much more out there
She'll stay awake all night and then she'll dream all day

She's a kind girl, a kind of girl with secrets
She's a wandering soul, relates to abstract art
I'm a free spirit craving adventure
I'm a drifter with a homesick heart.
