She Was

She was a menace

She was a threat

She was shunned in society

But I still loved her

Even though our love was forbidden

I still loved her like I did my own mother

Of course my mother wouldn’t love me if she knew about this girl

But it didn’t matter because I loved her

The menace became my love

The menace became my life

I wanted to fight for the menace

While she didn’t even care for her own life

I was frustrated at the town

For they wouldn’t give her a chance

People are always quick to ridicule at first glance
