She Weeps

She weeps

Each night before the sun sets
She walks along the edge of the world
Each toe
Caressing the surface of the sand within her mind

She weeps

Its warmth embracing her strength
Its breeze embedding itself into her softness
The curls in each strand
Etch and web themselves into each other
Until the wind touches them again

She weeps

Fingers dancing along the shimmer of the surface
The colors catching each stroke of her eyes
Each stroke
Presenting a world
Only she can imagine

She weeps
