Shoo Fly

I've become the fly
You shoo away
A bother of why
Do I stay.

Out the window
Was I sent
Only I didn't go
To the back I went.

Out of sight
Did I hide
'Til again in flight
I buzzed your side.

You tried once more
And knocked me down
Tumbled to the floor
As you drove out of town.

I saw the relief
As you thought I'd gone
And the disbelief
When I carried on.

I fly on again
And out on my own
There's no joy within
Shooed out I've flown.
