Shooting Star

Shooting Star

A star is falling from the skies.

Where it has unhinged from up above.

Making a wish for itself to soar back like a dove.

A mile it has flow across watching eyes.

Downward the star goes faster and faster.

Though, it’s tried to go higher and find its special place.

Nothing has worked for the shooting star that travels in space.

There it flies afraid of causing disaster.

Missing all the wonders along the way,

for the star only sees the dark side of its journey.

When it came close for the star to face its final hour, it sang.

Soon realizing what it had not noticed that day.

Learning that it will not destroy but create more wonder. Don’t worry.

Make the best of it, so the star said, “I’ll go out with a bang!
