'The End Is Near!' screaming at me
from the cardboard life on the corner
Yesterday he wasn't such a diplomat of
With his dirty clothes and dirty hands
Today that handmade cardboard revelation
Is as bright as any neon Vegas sign

Terror filling up my half empty glass
Is tucked behind the pure shock of what is
What could it do; whom will it take; where
Is our God now?
This contagion shows no mercy
Crossing oceans to take us to our knees
This is not at all what should be happening
When we forget to simply wash our hands
