Side Road

If your Mountain was waiting,
Would you choose to climb it?
The side road
Descended into the forest
Brought me to my knees
Amidst the chill of darkness, there was nowhere else to turn
God answered,
With a twinkle of the shining stars…
The colder the air,
The brighter the stars
A way out…
He whispered the instructions softly…
The only direction away from going down
Is to get back up
Be a patient songbird
Among the World’s sense of urgency
Live on your own time
God is offering the Mountain
Make the climb
You can count on Him
The One who made the Oceans and Skies,
Also has your back
To me, that means,
You could do anything
If your Mountain was waiting,
Would you choose to climb it?
