Sight at First Love
to the things that I refused to see
It is true that I once was deaf
to the things I did not want to hear
It is true that I once was stubborn
to the ways that I should live
I did not recognize First Love when it came to my door
It was not a visit I had received before
Somehow I surrendered without full understanding
Yet I would find myself inviting this stranger in
And It was only with my heart that I would be able to see
Only with my soul I would be able to receive
Only way forward was to leave myself behind
Only way to really know him was to allow him in my life
And though it was not a fairy tale
neither was it love at First Sight
I know in my heart
That it was Sight at First Love
