SILENCE

By

STANDING QUIETLY, LISTENING TO THE STILLNES
NOT A SOUND TO BE HEARD. BIRD SONGS ECHOED
AGAINST A GREY SKY ,
NORMALLY USED TO THE SOUND OF THE BUSTLING
OF LIFE , NOW SO STILL AND CALM
OUR BUSY LIVES BROUGHT TO A HALT AS WE SOUGHT
SHELTER IN OUR HOMES, YEARNING TO PRTECT OURSELVES
FROM THE UNKNOWN.JOBS KEPT US BUSY SAT SILENTLY
STILL LIGHT GLOW FROM WINDOWS NOW DARK ,A
STILLNESS YET TO BE UNDERSTOOD..
ALL THINGS FAMILAIR A SMILE IN PASSING NOW COVERED
CHANGED IN A MOMENT WATCHING WONDERING
WHAT WAS YET TO COME . EVER CLINGING TO
FAMILAR THINGS ,
A YEARNINGTO HAVE THE THINGS ONCE TAKEN
FOR GRANTED , NOW TREASURED, AND PROTECTED .
