Silence Speaks Louder Than Words

I hear those words you're not saying,
I see those tears that you hide.
I feel the pain you are feeling,
So why do you keep it inside?
You pretend it's all right when it's storming for real.
You pretend nothing's wrong when pain's all you feel.
Your silence speaks louder
Than the words you're not saying;
The pain in your eyes
Screams the confessions you're evading.
I ask you to speak,
I want to help fix your mess,
Yet you keep it inside,
And struggle against the stress.
I ask you to tell me,
And yet, now I wonder,
Your silence is speaking.
This is something to ponder.
Your silence speaks louder
Than the words you're not saying;
The pain in your eyes
Screams the confessions you're evading.
So don't say a word,
Because your silence is the call,
Silence speaks louder than words after all.
