By Marissa

silence is all she speaks,
thoughts are swarming her head.
she wants to spill everything,
but sadness takes over instead.
she can’t talk to anyone,
she tries but no one will listen.
she pretends things are fine,
but that is becoming an addiction.
she does what she is told,
she wears a fake smile.
people see what they want,
a happy life loving profile.
she needs to tell the truth,
lies are taking her life.
happiness is now a mask,
free she will be soon tonight.
finally she says it’s over,
now she says she’s done.
she will be happy again,
but that could require a gun.
she now finished,
this is finally the end.
you hope she ends up happy,
its other lives we have to now mend.
