Silent Heart

It was the moment of truth
When time stood still and the heart beat faster
Tears streaming down a single pale cheek
Eyes shadowing the tragic heartbreak inside
One step closer to love yet three closer to darkness
Each breath harder to take
Life slipping through the young lover's hands
A slave to the soul of a dead man's heart
Two lovers reunite under a stormy sky
Holding hands for an eternal afterlife
Sitting beneath a dead willow tree
No pain worse than that of a lover's silent heart
