Silent Night

Silent Night

Bright, steady strands of light
Comes streaming through the clouds,
As the eerie silent night
Gives way to another day
With its morning sounds, oh so loud,
A solid sea of humanity
Scurry here and scurry there,
Not knowing, not caring, totally unaware,
Of the cycle of life out there somewhere,
People yelling, cursing, babies crying,
An endless wall of sound,
No peace no-where to be found,
Finally the day begins to fade,
Casting shadows across all God has made,
Breaking the shackles of the daily light,
And slip again into another eerie silent night.
