Silent Speaker

All this silence, causing
this hostility feeling.

These tears fall like leaves,
to the ground on an Autumn day.

My words, flowing through your ears,
like cars through traffic.

I see the anger in your eyes,
that lets me know I'm failing.

The words you're yelling,
loud for the whole world to hear
how bad I've let you down.

If only you knew,
just how hard I try.

If only you could hear these thoughts.
But you won't.

Forever, I will stay quiet.
Here I am, a silent speaker
