Silent Words

His hands around my waist,
Mine tightly around his neck,
I looked into his gentle eyes
Which seemed to focus solely on mine,
Slightly moving to adjust the gaze from my left eye to my right.
Only silence, but there seemed to be intimate connection.
As I stand there, my body seems to be encompassed
By fluttery tinglyness that lifts my feet off the ground.
I should feel nervous and vulnerable,
Yet I am protected in his arms.
He slowing moves his head in closer to mine
Leaning to my left and mine to my right.
