Silk Pleasures

Hold still, you of lavender blood
You of pale skin and moonlit eyes
For I am going nowhere and you are going nowhere
We will be everywhere and anywhere
But go nowhere

Drink fast and plenty, lavender blood
For the fruit is abundant and spirit many
We will celebrate nothing
Toast to everything and anything
But celebrate nothing

The waters are dark, lavender blood
Our ships are old and broken
We will drown for nothing
We shall swallow salt and sea
And drown for nothing

Your breath is warm, lavender blood
With cigarette smoke and scotch rich on your tongue
We will kiss like it's nothing
I will taste everyone and everything
For we will kiss like it's nothing

Do not cry, lavender blood
Loss is without and I am without you
So we will want for nothing
I will have everything and anything
So we may want for nothing
