Silver Turns To Grey

Long past the stage of infatuation
When love is used as justification
I fell in love with the way you proclaimed your defiance
Now our time is filled with awkward silence
All we were use to shine and shimmer
You use to shake me to my core now not so much as a trimmer
Your soul was once warmed by my embrace
Now we merely occupy the same space
You use to accomadate me to see the joy in my eyes
Now your life feels like one big compromise
Where there once was a fire burning
Now there are no emotions churning
When happiness is no longer a feeling but rather a destination
And honesty follows well thought hesitation
I can never touch you even when only an arms length away
This is what it feels like silver becomes grey
