Simpler times

"Where do you see yourself in the future?
What's your passion? ",
someone once asked me.
An engineer, an architect
a doctor?
An artist, an actor?

And then it took me back to the simpler times.
Those times ,
when the possibilities were endless!
Where I was free to dream!
I wanted to be a Disney princess!
or that's what I proclaimed.

I remember the picture taken just before that,
I was dressed up in my turquoise gown,
With dainty jewelry, and a tiara to go with.
And my jet black wig,
almost sweeping the ground.

How I wish things were still the same!
When you could simply do away,
with such questions.
O well, I sighed and said,
"The word passion is highly overrated
and overused.
The time will come,
when I will be sure about what I want to do.
Until then I'll stick with being a princess. "
