Sing About Me

when the lights get dark and I’ve had time to settle down my main concern
I just hope that girl sing about me
I just hope that girl sing about me

a couple weeks ago I was sitting and looking back
lotta emotional baggage I had to unpack
when I first met you girl I was tired of looking back
but like a broken guitar, there were no strings attached
I messed with your just on the low and not the heavy
you filled a place in my heart when I was feeling empty
the way you smile when I was acting way to friendly
so I made it a mission for you not to forget me
you the reason

when the lights get dark and I’ve had time to settle down my main concern
I just hope that girl sing about me
I just hope that girl sing about me

a couple of weeks ago I was sitting and looking back
I told you love was a drug and I began to relapse
you hit my phone didn’t know you look good on the snaps
I hit you back ain’t got no reception, girl where you at
now honestly I feel like you were looking for play
domestic abuse my heart and putting it on display
what were you tryna convey
my feeling in disarray
if I had a chance to go back I would have some differences to say
I probably wouldn’t have talked you all of the months of May
making sure you okay
putting characters up because you couldn’t portray
walking through it and now I seem to see the beauty in the pain

when the lights get dark and I’ve had time to settle down my main concern
I just hope that girl sing about me
I just hope that girl sing about me
