Sing to Me a Lover’s Song

Sing to me a lover's song
Which Aphrodite sang lifelong;
Which I can call from seas beyond
The wand'ring lover whom I am fond.

Heart strings attached to endless hope;
Though long and far I do not mope.
My pleasure is within thy bone,
Great care do break a wall of stone.

O, Great Warrior from a thousand miles,
Do come, return, take rest from thy trials;
Thy maiden sweet, thy maiden rare
Awaits for thee in midnight prayer;

Sing to me a lover's song
Which Aphrodite sang lifelong.
