Single Tear

Birds chirping, birds singing
The lovely melody, in my ears, is ringing
The shining sun, shines quite bright
And the temperature is just right
There is not a cloud in the sky
Or is there a single tear in my eye

Singing, the birds stopped
The lovely melody has been dropped
The sun is no longer in sight
The temperature dropped as it might
With the gray clouds rolling in the sky
There is not a single tear in my eye

There is a storm coming my way
With that, the trees began to sway
Cracks of thunder, flashes of lightning
To me, none of which is frighting
As the rain starts pouring from the clouds on the sky
There is yet to be a single tear in my eye

You are gone, and not coming back
With you, peace and joy, is what I lacked
You walked out of my life at a quickened pace
Which eventually brought a smile upon my face
With all of the clouds in the sky
You will not find a single tear in my eye
