Sitting Here With You

At night I like to sit and think
About how life is blue
When I'm not living it with you
But when I am, its purple and pink.

Just like the sunset over the water
Even when it couldn't be any hotter
I wish that you were here next to me
Only then, will I be free
Most of my life has been very bleak
And then I look back on my week
All of that is very true,
But I would rather be sitting with you

The lights are on
lots of nights are gone
Many nights I could have sat and cried
But instead I had you by my side
All my life I've had to fight
But for now I can say, "Goodnight."
