Skinny Dip

White, pastey, therapeutic scenes,
Scratchy voice,
Hello-I mean it.
I really do.

The dripping faucet dreams,
The wreckage of innumerable disposable cameras,
The phrases and phases of youth,
The pools of maturity,
"Hey skinny,
Let's go for a swim"
Naked growth,
They left childhood behind.
Wet midnight,
They visit sometimes.
Naked moonlight,
They miss reciting their empty words:
"Everything'll be all right."
