Skyless

Skyless
Abandon your love
Heartache grows
For empty skies above
Darkness below
Death cascades, unto me
Sorrow engraved
Of what I cannot see
I have no voice
To soothe my mind
When should I decline
To be cold inside
Blood on my hands
I'll walk the stone
Where none leave
But all atone
Buried beneath it burns
A sense of purpose
I have yet to grasp
To move beyond
What cannot be undone
Wasting is all I have
A withering hope
For something more
I cannot wait any longer
A grain of acceptance
Humble this remorse
Upon none am I sworn
I will ascend above
And break for no one
In this desolate place
Where my heart roams
Nothing will be the same
If this is all that's left
I make no apologies
For the shape
in which I am
Abandon your love
Heartache grows
For empty skies above
Darkness below
