Skyward Bound

Ring around the rosey.
We all fall down.
Except for Daughter.
She's skyward bound.

Locked hand-in-hand.
Our world spins fast.
Don't know how long
this grip will last.

Head feeling dizzy.
Changes all around.
No time to stand still.
She's skyward bound.

Look to the heavens,
from our bed of grass.
Both growing older
and way too fast.

We give the clouds names.
New forms we've found.
Wish time'd stand still,
but she's skyward bound.
