Slamming Others

Where are we going?
What will we do?
What fans this hatred
tween me and you?
What is the difference
we've imagined in place
that tears us asunder
over religion and race?
We trace our beginnings
thru science and such,
then discard the findings.
It's getting too much.
Our way is distorted.
We cannot see.
Our leaders won't help us.
This cannot be.

We wonder why killings
from others gets so distorted
while our own daily destruction
is so under reported.
So where does this take us
to another world war,
with patriotism, heroes and medals?
