SLEEP

By

As I sit here watching him sleep,
I wonder what his dreams maybe.
Could he be a little boy,
playing with his favorite toy.
Or is it of him being a teen,
School and riding a bike, both it may seem.
could it be a dream where no worries appear,
As him as an adult, maybe a touch of fear.
Soundly in his dream is where he is free,
from the harshness of life and reality.
Is he in a constant struggle and running wild,
for when awoke he won't remember why.
So as I sit here watching him sleep,
I see for some reason he is at peace.
for when the day breaks it will be so clear,
Maybe the same problems or new appear.
Hopefully answers will all come to light,
like many things did in that last night.
As he slept so soundly.
