Sleep child

close your eyes, sleep deep sleep
this world is horrid, and evil, and bad
lay down safe away from pain
there’s children hungry, and lonely, and sad
this world breaks souls of glass
the people are nearly mad
so go to sleep dear child,
as long as you can

close your eyes sleep deep sleep
the hate will wound you with a sword of brass
lay down safe away from pain
the poverty will starve you until you pass
this world breaks soul of glass
the people are nearly mad
so go to sleep dear child,
as long as you can
