Sleep Paralysis

Who's lurking there?!
Experience true fear
In the absence of light
Imagined fragments run wild

All the while
I'm tied down, to my frustration and to the witches amusement
Her cackle crackles like white noise
She Croaks
"Don't mind my intrusion, I'll only stay a minute or two"
"Though it'll feel as if I've stayed the whole night through"

No one can say what this hag has to prove
Please, please, please budge over soon
Because, I'm clinging to the edge of my bed
Like it was Everest's edge
And dredging a morbid road into slumber land
This time I must watch where I tread
For each step is a waste of precious breathe
