Sleeping Neverland

Sleep-a boat to Neverland,
bobbing in foaming water,
heading for a beach of sugar sand
where memories frolic amidst
a forest of imagined trees
that existed long before age,
a thieving sort of disease,
robbed you of creativity
while planting an idea seed
among those young trees
that this, you need
for your continued prosperity-
that you should feel glad to be vested
of such childish nonsense,
for once watered and rested,
that seed will sprout high
and begin to sink the island.
Then you board that boat
that once brought you to Neverland.
but now bears you to the edge of the world.
