Sleepless Wonders

When all is well but you cannot sleep
Do not lay there and wonder why
Listen to the willows weep
And search for solace in the sky
Look out your window at the birds
And sing to them sweet lullabies
Do not be ashamed to weep;
The moon will sit and wipe your eyes
The wind will kiss your naked cheeks
And make you feel all that you've missed
As you pick flowers from the ground
And ball them in your angry fists
Try looking for the origin
Of your disruptive, sleepless nights
Not in your heart nor in your mind
But sewn into the nighttime sky
