Sliver Of Light

My friends,
I’ve got silver in my blood
I must get out
My veins hurt
With a dying Utopia
Can anyone hear
A single thing I’m trying
To get across this time
A messy poem
From a seeping soul
It’s all about perspective
I see more than gold
I feel the electricity
I see the light
Finding a stream of voices
From pen and paper
Letting the light flow
From the wealth of the soul
This form of poetry
Becomes my only flattery
Because I don’t often make sense,
But when I do,
It’s poetry, so
Stay creating,
I must.
