Smile, Sweet Child

Smile, sweet child, times are good
We are at War, and there's no reason we should.
Smile, sweet child, sleeping safe in your bed,
While you keep warm, others are dead.
Smile, sweet child,
There's no such thing as hate;
Millions are at risk, and yet we are too late.
Smile, sweet child, and live for today
As someone's life, is taken away.
Smile, sweet child, and take my hand
For you are too young, and do not understand.
Smile, sweet child, they fear what they are not;
They are after something that cannot be bought.
Smile, sweet child, all they need is love-
It is the thing they seek, but know not of.
So, sweet child,
Close your eyes,
Do not peak,
Hold me tight.
and do not speak.
