Smother Me

As foolish as it may be,
I wanted you to smother me.
All I wanted was attention.
A peck on the cheek now and then,
Even watch my shows to the end.
Some more romance would be nice.
Give your heart without a price.
Say "I love you" but mean it twice,
Utter only words that are true.
Push the limits of what you'll do,
An afterschool kiss that's long over due.
Don't push away like the outcast.
Think of each hug as the last,
Although it was sweeter in the past.
As foolish as it may be,
I wanted you to smother me.
