Snapped Ripples

Once there were ripples
Going after each other
And glowed to be touched

It was forgotten that
The ripples were momentary
Slaves to the whims of wind

No more touch there
No more waves of glowing sparkles
The breathe paused

Strings of sound from either ends
Became incompatible
Silence emerged to be the sole winner, uncontested

No communication now
No rhythm of heart together
The eternal void remains

Dear ignorance, you the blistering pain
The chemical weapon prolonging end
No way out but to endure

The agreement of declaration
Proclamation of separation
Executed unheard

The distance is deeper
As wished
Left behind a trail of bullet holes
