depression is like suppression
it kills you so quietly
stalking you until you're vulnerable
stealthy ways of attacking you
murder after assault,
there's no one to fall back on
you're gone before you know it
it's too late to try and catch yourself
slipping and falling
you got yourself calling for help
the cloud of tears awaits you
your body feels hollow
from the surface things look shallow
until you jump inside that person's pain
drowning in their own sorrow.
