I see it falling all around
That sticky white stuff on the ground
It makes me feel so very cold
It makes me want a hand to hold
To sit at home by the fireside
For a while curtains opened wide
There's a nice warm drink in my cold little hands
I think of the tropics and warm summer sand
The green grass is covered in a blanket of white
No plans to go out, I'm in for the night
The fire beside me crackles and pops
I easily jump and then tell myself...Stop!
I've no need to panic, no need to worry
My family is safe, having no need to hurry
Finally, up the front steps they bound
They are home with me, safe and sound
We watch this amazing sight, talking and laughing filled with mirth
I find comfort by feeling, there's no better place on earth
We usually enjoy our time here by the lake
But nothing compares to the first falling flake
Before it gets trampled, turning all dirty and brown
Nothing is more beautiful than the first snow on the ground!
