snowflakes

anticipated your arrival nealt by radio
hoped it was a snow day school I could not go.

loved that day off froliced praised
treced up and down to ride my sleigh.

circling staring skies above capture you upon my tongue
hours played our snowball wars little time spent indoors

so sad the time you melt away
it seems my snowman wants to stay.

carrots fallen top hat too
his broom lays on what's left of you.

there were times you not your best
traffic jams black slushie mess.

now my love grown to passion a diffrent point of view
through older eyes I see a different part of you.

I gaze the skies your spiral grace
Beauty like designer lace

float a feather frail yet strong
bring darkest cities a brighter pale.

muffle sounds bring quiet peace just the thing I really need
bring me hope remind me praise this your gift on holidays
