So Be It
If the sun's light never touched the earth again, so be it.
If the stars vanished from the starry night sky, so be it.
If the world's oceans were left vacant, so be it.
If the clouds halted their rainy downpours,
the flowers ceased their blooming,
the grass never turned greener--so be it.
But if you were taken away from my arms,
that can never be it.
